Civil Aviation Authority hopes foreign airlines will resume Peshawar cheap flights

www.cheap-flight-4u.com
cheap-flight-4u
Civil Aviation Authority Manager (Public Relations) Abid Kaimkhani told that foreign airlines, which had temporarily stopped  cheap flights for Peshawar, would decide about resumption of cheap flights shortly.

Foreign Airliners will make a decision on July 1 and we are waiting for it. We hope they’ll resume cheap flights for Peshawar very soon,” he said.

Kaimkhani said a few airlines had diverted cheap flights from Peshawar to Islamabad after attack on a commercial flight in Peshawar lately and security had been improved at vulnerable points at and around the city’s Bacha Khan International Airport since then.

Official says security enhanced around the airport
Three big foreign airlines, including Emirates, Qatar Airways and Ittehad, have suspended cheap flights for Peshawar in the wake of a gun attack on Pakistan International Airlines’ Airbus A-310 during landing at the Peshawar airport on Tuesday night.

The cheap flight with 196 passengers and 10 crew members on board was coming from Riyadh (Saudi Arabia) when it was fired upon on the city’s outskirts, leaving one woman passenger dead and two stewards injured.

Official said Saudi Airlines had cancelled one cheap flight for Peshawar before diverting it to Islamabad on Saturday citing ‘operational reasons. “Saudi Airlines did not give specific reasons for diverting cheap flight to Islamabad,”.

Official said about 300 passengers were transported to Islamabad by road in the day. He said Air Arabia and Gulf Air were operating to and from Peshawar, while the operations of four domestic airlines, including those of PIA, continued.

Concerned officials  said law-enforcement agencies had begun survey in the areas adjacent to tribal areas and were maintaining profiles of those living there.  Human intelligence had been strengthened, while the number of police and Frontier Constabulary had been increased. The police have arrested about 300 people after attack on the plane.  They said a proposal was under consideration to change the timing of cheap flight arrival for foreign airlines from night to day. Proposal had been discussed with the airlines operating cheap flights for Peshawar.

According to the Civil Aviation Authority officials, despite lack of space and other facilities, the Bacha Khan International Airport, Peshawar is one of the country’s busiest airports with around 1.4 million people landing and departing from there annually. Only Emirates Airlines had operated five flights a week from there before attack on the PIA aircraft. 90% of the passengers were laborers traveling between Peshawar and the Middle East and other regions. Despite several shortcomings and lack of facilities, foreign airlines could not ignore Peshawar because it had huge potential. “The number of people landing in and flying from Peshawar can increase if facilities, including loading, unloading and parking, are expanded.

World’s four top airlines had operations in Peshawar and that two more would begin service in near future. Suspension of cheap flights by foreign airlines for Peshawar has adversely affected businesses directly or indirectly associated with the aviation sector. Taxi stands outside the airport wear deserted look.

Border Patrol Reschedules Cheap Flights Central American Rio Grande Valley to Southern California and Two Texas Border Cities

http://www.cheap-flight-4u.com/
cheap-flight-4u
The Border Patrol announced that its plans to fly Central American migrants from the Rio Grande Valley to Southern California and two Texas border cities to help relieve what President Barack Obama has called a humanitarian crisis. Customs and Border Protection said in a statement that the agency plans to transport adults and children from the Rio Grande Valley to Laredo and El Paso in Texas and San Diego and El Centro in Southern California.

Announcement comes less than a week after the agency canceled the California cheap flights. Officials released no further details. It is not known when the cheap flights would begin nor how many migrants would be transported to the state. Paul Beeson, chief of the Border Patrol's San Diego sector, told The Associated Press a week ago that the plan at that time called for two cheap flights with 140 passengers each. They were expected to continue every three days, carrying mostly families with children and students. Thousands of Central American families and unaccompanied children have been coming to the United State in recent months as they flee violence, murders and extortion from criminal gangs in Guatemala, El Salvador and Honduras. Many of them are under the impression that they will receive leniency from U.S. Authorities once they get here. Once the migrants are processed, Immigration and Customs Enforcement decides who can be released while awaiting deportation proceedings. 52,000 children have been detained since October. The vast majority have been caught in Texas' Rio Grande Valley. Because officials had run out of room at facilities there, they began releasing immigrant families and requiring them to report back within 15 days. Later, officials flew hundreds to Arizona for processing. Several new detention centers are expected to open to deal with the influx.

News of detention centers opening in communities has stirred up fear and anger among residents who worry the immigrants will bring in new illnesses, tax local resources, escape and spike crime rates. Senior U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement official during a media tour Thursday of a new facility in New Mexico told The Associated Press that authorities there aim to deport the immigrants within 10 to 15 days to send a message back to their home countries that there are consequences for illegal immigration for study abroad. The official spoke on condition of anonymity because he was not allowed to talk publicly, citing agency policy.  At the facility, women found crossing with children also will not be released, but held and quickly processed, a step toward returning the department to its policy before the crisis.

Experts say missing cheap flight 370 was on Autopilot

www.cheap-flight-4u.com/
cheap-flight-4u
Malaysian Airlines cheap flight 370 indicate the plane was flying on autopilot when it disappeared.

USA TODAY reports the search for the missing jet will now move to the southern Indian Ocean off the coast of western Australia and will span an area of 23,200-square miles. The cheap flight from Malaysia's capital Kuala Lumpur to Beijing on March 8 carried 239 passengers and crew, including 153 Chinese citizens. So why has no debris surfaced even months later?

NEWS Aviation Expert Greg Feith does not often speculate on plane crashes but posted his thoughts on the new developments to his Facebook page Thursday morning. "Current information released by the Malaysians appears to be in concert with the search area I had discussed 3 months ago - I believe it is 1250 to 1500 miles further west and south of the area that they searched near Australia.

Many people have asked me my thoughts about whether the cheap flight crashed or was ditched in the ocean. I don't typically speculate on accidents and usually discuss an accident scenario based on the factual info I have. However MH370 is uniquely different.  I discussed a scenario several month ago that I believed the flight management system/autopilot was used to fly the airplane to a way point over the Indian Ocean; and the autopilot would then perform a minimum airspeed and minimum descent rate profile until the cheap flight impacted the water. This controlled descent at a slow airspeed would minimize the breakup of the fuselage and other structure, which in turn would minimize the amount of floating debris. Also the fuselage would sink as a complete unit and again the floating debris would be minimized.

Think of it as a landing like the Miracle on the Hudson whereby there was no aircraft breakup. The difference is because the pilot would not be able to gauge the height above the ocean (since it was likely dark), the autopilot was used to perform a slow, controlled descent to water contact. The pilot of cheap flight would not have to be conscious or even alive for the airplane to fly the profile once it was programmed into to FMC and executed.

This controlled ditch or collision with the water may also explain why there has been no trace of Amelia Earhart's airplane - minimal impact damage thus no floating debris to wash up on a beach!

Investigator intuition is not a substitution for having the actual data but in this case the investigators need to think like a person who wants to make a cheap flight (Boeing 777) disappear, they need to look at the available info and use some logic to identify the best search area rather than calculated with data, the search area."

Hoardings near airport threaten to ground Mumbai's only non-stop cheap flight to US

www.cheap-flight-4u.com/
cheap-flight-4u to USA
Mumbai may lose its only non-stop cheap flight to United State for the silliest reason: billboards near the airport. Air India has complained to aviation and Maharashtra authorities that it is forced to carry only 260 passengers in the Boeing 777 deployed on the Mumbai-Newark sector. The reason: billboards near the airport come in the path of the aircraft, forcing it to fly light to allow it take off in a way that it can steer clear of this hurdle.

T.O.I. had reported on May 1 but it have come to such a pass now that Air India is threatening to cancel this cheap flight the only non-stop US connection from Mumbai  unless these hurdles go. "There used to be five billboards. Four were removed after we complained as but there is reportedly a court case involving the fifth one. Now, two billboards have reappeared, putting such a severe load penalty that we are forced to carry 80 seats empty," said a top Air India official.

Airline has complained to the Directorate General of Civil Aviation, terming these billboards a "serious safety risk". "We have repeatedly taken this issue up with the Mumbai civic authorities. We are now planning to write to the state government. If nothing works, this flight will have to be scrapped," said the official.

Air India's Mumbai Newark flight is the longest non-stop cheap flight out of Mumbai as well as the longest cheap-flight-4u of the airline overall. The aircraft goes almost fully loaded with fuel for the nearly 16 hour journey. When a fully loaded Boeing 777-300, takes off, especially in summer, the lift-off happens relatively slowly compared to lighter planes. The billboards have undone what the B-777 300 ER did for Air India Earlier, the airline operated the fuel-guzzling B-777 200 Long Range version on this route. But this plane used up so much fuel that the cheap flight never made money. Air Iinda decided to sell off its 200 LR versions of the Boeing 777. It then deployed the thriftier 300 ER on the route.

cheap flight disruptions - air traffic controllers go on strike

www.cheap-flight-4u.com/
cheap-flight-4u
Airlines are scrambling on French air traffic controllers' strike - which is causing delays to Aer Lingus cheap-flight-4u and grounding over 196 Ryanair flights across Europe.

Aer Lingus has said it is experiencing lengthy delays on  cheap flights to France, Spain, Portugal, and the Canary Islands. These make up about 20 of its cheap flights. Passengers to these destinations can expect delays of up to three hours today, a spokeswoman said.  Ryanair has said the disruptions caused by the French air traffic controllers strike are causing "severe disruptions" for its customers. "air traffic controllers delays of up to six hours are now being allocated to Ryanair cheap flights operating from France, and also cheap-flight-4u flying over France."

"We expect that these delays will continue to build through the afternoon as the backlog of delayed cheap flights rises. In order to minimize disruptions on the rest of our network Ryanair has been forced regrettably to cancel a total of 196 cheap flights which is approximately 10% of Ryanair’s total schedule of over 1,600 cheap flights today."

The airline added:"We expect the disruption to flights from France and Spain will continue this afternoon as all airlines schedules are heavily disrupted by this unnecessary and regrettable French air traffic controllers strike."

The airline's statement added: "Ryanair apologises sincerely for any delays or inconvenience caused to our customers by this French air traffic controllers strike."  The six-day strike action, called by French airline trade unions, has been timed ahead of a June 30 deadline for France to present its aviation budget plans to European officials.  The tighter budgets are part of a European Commission plan, called Single Sky Europe, to cut air navigation costs. A similar walkout in 2013 led to some 1,800 cheap flights being cancelled a day across Europe.

Ryanair urged the French government and the EU to intervene to prevent further cancellations and delays in cheap flights.

Long flights burning more fuel - climate impact

British scientists have suggested that the world's airlines could cut their climate impact.

The seemingly-paradoxical claim is based on a calculation of the climate impact of contrails on the world's climate. The researchers suggest that rather than simply calculating the cheapest route based on distance and fuel, cheap flights could change routes to avoid the weather conditions that lead to increased contrails.

It's an important trade-off for cheap flights, since the more they can demonstrate mitigation of their climate impact, the less money they'll be asked to outlay on offsets. Contrails short for condensation trails form in cold, moist air, and are caused either by the condensation of water vapour in the engine exhaust, or by the turbulence at wingtips causing water vapour in the air to condense.
http://www.cheap-flight-4u.com/UK/
Cheap Flight to UK

As they spread out to wispy clouds, contrails have a measurable radiative forcing impact on the climate. Although they reflect some of the sun's energy outwards, they trap more infrared energy that would otherwise be emitted by Earth, resulting in a small net increase in warming.

The question for scientists is how to balance contrail-driven warming with that caused by burning dinosaurs to keep the plane in the air, and whether the two can be traded off for a net benefit.

The University of Reading researchers, writing in Environmental Research Letters, believe they've come up with a framework that lets this trade-off be calculated so that aircraft can fly around the “ice-supersaturated regions” (ISSRs) where contrails form, without increasing their flight path so much that the extra fuel burn outweighs the reduced contrail formation.

The scientists, led by Reading's Dr Emma Irvine, also believe the route-around approach could be more efficient than trying to avoid contrails formation by changing altitude (which takes extra fuel two ways: on the climb, and by cruising at a sub-optimal altitude). As explained by Eco-Business: “With a small aircraft that is predicted to form a contrail 20 miles long, an alternative route would have a smaller climate impact if it adds less than 200 miles to its journey. For larger aircraft, the alternative route could still be preferable, but only if it added less than 60 miles to the journey.”

The complexity of the trade-off, Dr Irvine explained, this is a non-trivial calculation: while contrails can last for hours, CO 2 lasts decades. And, of course, building variations to routes into cheap flight plans is non-trivial from other viewpoints: it would need weather forecasting accurate enough to predict contrail-likely conditions, and enough flexibility in air traffic control to deal with changes to cheap flight plans.

There is, at least, this: if cheap flights were to generate fewer contrails, a tiny bit of steam would be taken out of “chemtrail” conspiracies. That can't be a bad thing.

United State suspends Cheap flight at Florida air base due to fire

The United State Air Force on Monday temporarily halted flights at a Florida air base of 26 F-35A fighter jets after a jet caught fire as it was preparing to take off for a training flight, a Pentagon spokesman said.

The pilot aborted the takeoff and was not injured, the spokesman for the Pentagon's F-35 program office said. He had no immediate details on the cause of the fire or extent of the damage to the F-35 conventional takeoff model.

The fire occurred in the plane where the engine is located, but it was unclear whether the engine was involved.

Introduction of New Cheap Airlines - Wonders for Passengers.

www.cheap-flight-4u.com/
cheap-flight-4u
It's amazing global aviation scene has changed over the years. Big airlines have lost their way and famous names vanished without trace while brash newcomers have soared and the once-derided cheap airlines gained respect.

When I first flew internationally about 40 years ago, my most favorite airlines were Pan American, Qantas and British Airways. Now Pan American has gone and I do my best to have nothing to do with Qantas, British Airways or any American airline at all. These days my favorites are Air New Zeeland, the Asian marvels Singapore and Cathay Pacific, and the extraordinary Middle Eastern newcomers Emirates and Etihad. And I'm increasingly impressed with the performance of the new cheap airlines.

During a trip to Europe this year we chose to fly with EasyJet and Ryanair and found them not only incredibly cheap but also extremely efficient. Even Ryanair, which has a rather mixed reputation, provided a vastly better experience than the last time I made the mistake of choosing British Airwary for European flights.

Similarly, for our latest visit to Australia to see the grandchildren we opted to get across the Tasman with Air New Zealand, which has basically adopted the no-frills model for its short-haul flights, and its low-cost partner Virgin Australia.  Again, not only were the fares considerably cheaper than anything I could find on the Qantas website, the experience was much more pleasant than the last time I suffered under the flying kangaroo.

For our next big trip, an Arctic cruise, we're thinking seriously about flying with China Southern Airlines, which offers cheap fares, the chance of a stopover in Guangzhou and - according to several experienced travellers we've talked to - perfectly good service. It all goes to confirm, for me, what a wonderful thing competition is. Once upon a time on most routes there was little if any choice. Now every carrier knows that if it doesn't perform its customers can and will go elsewhere. When Air New Zealand had a monopoly on domestic routes the service was shoddy and expensive. Now, thanks to the arrival of competition, it is a superb airline.

Similarly, in past we visited the grandchildren in Queensland, Qantas was the only airline flying to their town, allowing it to charge horrendous fares and get away with truly awful service. Now we have got the option of flying with cheap fares and great service.

Air India Offering Cheap Flight Tickets on Busy Routes

www.cheap-flight-4u.com/
Cheap-Flight-4u
India's four budget carriers wage fare wars to gain shares in the market, Air India has been quietly undercutting them with lowest ticket prices on busy routes. It is selling cheap flight tickets even closer to the travel date, indicating it is desperately trying to fill empty flights. For instance, the airline is selling flights to Bangalore-Goa on June 24 as low as 2,059 while AirAsia is selling it at 4,840. The route became popular after AirAsia India started its maiden flight on the Bangalore-Goa route last week. Ahmedabad-Mumbai sector, Air India is offering fares as low as 3,559 early next week while the low fare carriers are offering tickets between 5,300 and 5,900.
The obvious reason is unsold inventory, said Sharat Dhall. Airlines typically sell cheaper seats on later travel dates and jack up fares closer to the travel dates as more of their seats get sold. Airlines having a number of unsold seats close to the date of flying would rather sell them cheap than let them fly empty. Experts said Air India may have been caught in the wrong end of aggressive fare wars that started early this year. Low-fare carrier SpiceJet has been starting most of them, starting a chain reaction across the industry. Market leader IndiGo has on most instances got the best advantage of these wars. It offers higher capacity than its rivals which means, passengers board its flights more than they do others' whenever there is a discount offered. Its on-time performance, although recently beaten by SpiceJet, still ensures robust passenger volumes on its flights. "Last minute fares are a function of the required yield and seat factor. Peak hour flights will invariably have high seat factors and hence high last minute fares. Only in cases where unsold inventories are high, perhaps due to low customer preference, will the last minute fares be low," says Amber Dubey, Partner and India Head of Aerospace and Defense at global consultancy KPMG. What could be bad news for low-fare carriers is that even for early bookings, which is the space where price wars play out between low-cost carriers, Air India is offering the lowest fares on many routes. For example on a Bangalore-Goa flight for July 24, Air India is selling tickets at 2,059, close to 400 lower than SpiceJet. IndiGo's lowest fare on the route is 2,740.

While it gives more option to fly cheaper, Air India's cheap fares may have negative impact on its performance. The airline provides amenities such as food, in turn meaning it runs costlier operations than its rivals. The carrier has been bleeding losses since 2007 and surviving primarily on cash handouts from the government. But its finances have lately shown signs of some revival. The airline earned 44 crore in passenger revenue in May, up 16% on year. Air India carried about 47,700 passengers in the month versus 45,230 a year earlier and its load factors improved to 80% from 73%.
